Meet Andrea : Somatic Movement Teacher and Sound bowl Meditation Facilitator

Andrea Lewis's story is the latter.
A Somatic Movement and Sound Facilitator, Andrea's work grew from her own journey of healing and self-discovery. After the uncertainty of 2020, she found herself searching for something deeper—a way to reconnect with herself, her body, and a sense of peace. Through somatic movement and crystal sound meditation, she discovered practices that changed not only how she felt, but how she moved through life.
What started as personal healing eventually became her calling.
Today, Andrea is certified in both somatic movement and sound facilitation, helping others experience the same sense of grounding, presence, and possibility that transformed her own life.
Creating Branding Images That Feel Like Her
When Andrea came into the studio, we knew this couldn't be a typical branding session.
Her business isn't built around selling a product.
It's built around creating an experience.
We wanted every image to reflect that same feeling of calm, curiosity, joy, and connection that clients experience when they attend one of her sessions.
Instead of forcing stiff poses, we incorporated the beautiful crystal singing bowls she works with, encouraged natural movement, and created photographs that felt peaceful, authentic, and unmistakably Andrea.
The result wasn't just a collection of headshots - it was a visual story that communicates who she is before she ever says a word.

Andrea was also selected as one of the inspiring women featured in our Modern Muse Project—a portrait series celebrating women who are making an impact in our community through their work, passions, and purpose.
Originally from San Diego, Andrea made the courageous decision to leave the only home she'd known for more than five decades and begin again in Cape Girardeau. It was a season of reinvention, requiring trust, courage, and a willingness to embrace the unknown.
Today, she's building not only a business, but a community centered around mindfulness, compassion, and genuine human connection - right here in Cape Girardeau.
When asked what "becoming her" means, Andrea shared something that stayed with us:
It means welcoming every version of yourself and celebrating them all.
We couldn't imagine a more fitting description of the woman she has become.
